Review Of David DeAngelo’s Double Your Dating
Do you want to have true choice in dating girls, rather than just settling for whatever you can get?
This is a foundational product that every smart man who is serious about improving his dating skills must have. I have learned lots of things from all the other great products out there but when I’m in a ‘dating slump’ I always come back and review this product to set me straight. The likeable DeAngelo (real name Eben Pagan) distills his years of dating experience learning from men who are ‘naturals’ into a few core principles that are easy to apply.
He is himself a smart guy who struggled for years to attract women often wondering why the brain that served him so well in all other areas failed utterly when it came to women and dating! DeAngelo is clear that his subject is dating and attraction NOT relationships and gives it a thorough treatment, touching on the importance of both ‘inner game’ and ‘outer game’. He considers techniques and pick up lines to be ‘outer game’ and admits that learning them can get you some success but it will likely be inconsistent.
He posits that true long term success with women comes from strong ‘inner game’ which mostly entails building a strong self-image, projecting masculine qualities and getting rid of your ‘inner wussy’, a favorite term of his. He emphasizes the need for changing who you are in order to have success and explains systematic ways of doing this ranging from NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) to trading up your association. Well, what if I just “want to be myself?” you might ask. If this is you, DeAngelo has some harsh words: “Continue being yourself and continue experiencing the curious dry feeling between your legs-the defintion of insanity is doing the same thing and expecting different results!” Ouch David, that may have been a blow below the belt but the point is well taken!
The importance of grooming and manner of dress is also covered along with specific guidelines on what kind of clothes to wear and colognes that make women go wild! In this age of political correctness and feminism, it is quite refreshing to hear DeAngelo say that getting a women into bed as quickly as possible is the main way a man can control the relationship and avoid paying for lots of expensive dinners-particularly good advice for the high value guy who doesn’t want to waste time. He explains numerous entertaining ways to speed up this process.
This is one of those books that is based on core principles that do not change. It isn’t about what is sexy or fashionable today or the latest fad.

Personal Development Training
I’m taking a break from seminars and courses this year to narrow my focus to improving in very specific areas in my health, wealth, and relationships. That being said I have been very blessed and fortunate to take part in some great seminars and courses over the past few years and those have led to a lot of personal growth and development in my life. I believe that any time you have the chance to take advantage of a high end seminar or course of some kind on a topic that really fascinates you, then you should go all out and take the course.
Here are some of the more interesting courses I’ve taken:
1. Relationships: I took a bootcamp with Venusian Arts led by Mystery himself. I never really spoke about this in detail because I was somewhat secretive about it at the time but I’ve always been a fan of pickup and I really have no qualms about sharing it now. It is the means by which I got into the Rich Jerk’s Playboy Mansion party. This in turn introduced me to my fascination and obsession with internet marketing and led me to starting this blog as well. It was one of the best and most rewarding weekends of my life. I got to meet Neil Strauss, Ross Jeffries, Eben Pagan (a.k.a. David DeAngelo), and a slew of other guys who are big names in that realm. I also learned more about not just women, but relationships and human interaction than at any other stretch in my life.
It literally was a game changer for me and I would recommend that any man who would like to learn more about women and how to improve the relationships in their life to take a bootcamp from a reputable company. The importance behind it is they are not just teaching tricks to get more women, but rather a lifestyle of constant improvement. By cultivating this attitude of always getting better in all areas of your life, you will naturally become more attractive and more women will be attracted to you anyway which is just icing on the cake. I’ve also looked at many related books and courses on the subject since then and have gained a mass amount of knowledge on evolutionary and general psychology. It’s almost eerie how related that dating and marketing can actually be sometimes, which leads me to my next section.
2. Wealth: I have written about a few of these here, but it’s worth noting that I have dedicated a vast amount of time into ebooks, books, courses, and seminars on marketing the last few years. I’ve even selected marketing as a minor when I go back to school later this month because I’m so passionate about it. I’ve gotten courses from the Rich Jerk, Frank Kern, Mike Filsaime, Eben Pagan, and so on and so forth. I’m taking one currently about SEO that is already paying dividends with this site as well as the other projects I’m involved in.
One of my favorite experiences is getting to be at Frank Kern’s Mass Control 2.0 seminar in San Diego and getting to soak up such great information and be around a crowd that is so passionate about the subject. I learned a massive amount of great tips and techniques that weekend that I either have implemented or will in the coming years.
One of the downsides of all this is that I overwhelmed myself with information at times and didn’t take action to the extent that I should have. I’ve gone about correcting that problem this year and am already seeing results from it and hope to build on my progress as I get better.
I have no doubt that someday I will be making my living as a marketer and writer as a result of my introduction to this community. (Be here when it happens!
)
3. Health: Because of the progress I made in the other two areas of my life, I noticed that I was slipping physically at times. So I started to work out again. I made a little progress right away but wanted a little structure and a plan I could follow. So I got my hands on a copy of P90X and it made a big difference for me. I made it to the third phase but found that I was getting a bit bored with the redundancy of the workouts so I switched to a more traditional weightlifting, cardio, and sports combo of exercise which has been phenomenal for me. I’m now in great physical shape and am training to run a half-marathon in May and then a full marathon later in the year.
The point here though is that P90X was HUGE for me. It got me into a habit of eating in a disciplined fashion and understanding how my body reacts to eating and working out. This allows me to make necessary changes on the fly and even if I eat some junk food now I don’t worry because I know when to be a little more conservative with my diet and/or when to rest and change up my workout routines.
Summary: I’ve been able to either take a seminar or go through a home study course for each area of my life over the past few years and all have made a huge difference for me. I am narrowing my focus to taking more action this year and taking less courses, but the foundation of knowledge I have built by taking high value trainings is invaluable to me. I have invested literally tens of thousands of dollars into my personal development and it has paid dividends for me in every area of my life and my overall well-being. I would encourage anybody else to do the same.
You don’t have to buy a big expensive course, but just simply start out with a book or a good blog. Try to practically apply the fundamentals of what you learn and use what works for you in your life and personal situation. Then as you gain a little more knowledge and experience, consider taking a higher end course of some kind. It will most likely be one of the most rewarding and fulfilling experiences of your life.
New Look For 2010
Happy 2010!
As you can see I’ve changed the look of the site. I really enjoyed the old theme but I felt it was a bit dreary at times and wanted something fresh and new.
Along with the new look, I want to provide more content than ever. I’d like to write as much as possible, daily even for 2010, which is a lofty goal but I think if I just provide even a blurb here everyday then I’ve achieved what I set out to do. That’s not to say that I’ll never write the longer authority articles I’m accustomed to here, but I am trying to increase my presence on the web in a big way in 2010 and I hope you’ll help me to do that. Time is of the essence for me and I have to get maximum results with even the small things I do.
I know I bashed New Year’s resolutions in my last article, but I do recognize the power of the clean slate, fresh start mentality. Now is the time to be thinking about what you want to achieve this year. Make it your mission to form habits that will make those things happen for you. Eben Pagan has a saying called “inevitability thinking”. It means that you structure your life in a way that the things you want can’t help but happen to you. What is your inevitability thinking?
This is what I want for myself this year:
1. Write everyday, even if it’s just a little bit.
2. Use all the wonderful business tools I’ve learned over the past 2 years, stop being lazy, and build a sustainable income online.
3. Provide real value.
4. Eliminate and cut out all the time wasters that take me away from the things I really want to be doing.
5. Try to maintain a balance between my health, wealth, and relationships this year.
That’s it. Those are the only things I want. There are sub-goals that fall underneath those that will help me get there along the way but it goes back to what I said in the last post. Establish systems that will help you automate your efforts as much as possible and you will get closer to where you want to be with less effort and more time to do even more.
Good luck for 2010 and I wish you all the best for your success now and in the future.
The Arbitrage Conspiracy
This post is so MONEY, and it doesn’t even know it!
All humor aside, I have been focusing on the wealth node of my life more and more frequently as of late. I have made improvements to the website, increased and made more efficient its monetization, and made myself more easily accessible via social media and Web 2.0(add me on Twitter!).
I have been working on some other web projects for family, and have also been studying my butt off reading and consuming every piece of material I can get my hands on to learn more and be better at internet marketing, SEO, affiliate marketing, and the like. Why you may ask? Because I am transitioning my involvement on the web from a glorified hobby to be a full-time passion in 2009. More about that to come.
For now, I want to talk about the Arbitrage Conspiracy. I came across this program by being on the email lists of some big name internet marketers. I saw emails come through my inbox from Mike Filsaime and Eben Pagan about a “no-name” guy who makes $50k-$100k PER DAY off of his PPC affiliate marketing activities online and who was now coming out with a course on how he does it. Needless to say, my curiosity was piqued. So I checked out the website and downloaded the free report being offered. The difference between this guy and the “gurus” is that instead of doing mostly Clickbank/digital product affiliate marketing, he uses PPC(Google Adwords, Yahoo, etc.) to direct traffic to CPA or “cost per action” offers. These are ad pages where sometimes the smallest piece of information needed to be entered by a prospect in order for the affiliate to get paid is a zip code. After reading this, I went from piqued curiosity to intrigued.
I got in a conference call where the CPA affiliate guru, Aymen, was being questioned by all the big name internet marketing gurus about his new course and how he does what he does. After listening in, I was very interested in the course. I had recently decided anyway that I want to increase my online knowledge and involvement as a marketer by starting out as an affiliate and go from there towards creating my own product at some point in the coming year. The offering of this program really got me excited because I realized it could be the difference in me coming out of the gates fast or dragging along forming bad habits and taking a lot longer if ever to figure out a successful model.
The course launched two days after the call and I signed up for it. At a hefty $1997 fee for a 12-week course, I realized this was a big investment of time and money to make. But given that I know I will give nothing less than 100% effort to learning and implementing what I will be taught, and that Aymen is offering a 100% + $500 money-back guarantee, I realized there are only three possible outcomes:
1. I totally suck at the affiliate marketing game. I bust my butt and don’t make my money back. At least I tried my best and I ask for my money back.
2. I make my money back if not a little extra. I’m not rolling in it but I’m pretty excited with my gains and I have learned a LOT of cool stuff. It was worth its cost.
3. I make a nice chunk of change in a very short time and become a budding star at the PPC to CPA game. I am very good it and the rewards of the course exceed the cost.
Upon realizing these three outcomes, I lost all fear of dropping the $2k. I really CAN’T LOSE and stand to learn a lot in return. I know a lot of people are very skeptical about paying this much for a program like this, but that’s also another thing that influenced me. I know from experience that when you take a high-end seminar you will probably get as much if not more value than you paid. The guys that are giving these things HAVE to make it as valuable as possible or they won’t be in business very long. Couple that with the fact that a lot of very successful marketers took a one day condensed version of Aymen’s course and walked out very impressed with what they had learned. I respect very much the opinion of guys like Eben Pagan, who’s free trainings online I have learned SO much from.
Also, being that I want to be in this inner circle of the top internet marketers some day, I realize that they are all seminar, book, and knowledge junkies themselves. By continually renewing, upgrading, and refining their knowledge and frame of reference on their models of success, they stay a step ahead of the game and this stuff just becomes easier. They are where I want to be, I recognize that, and I’m doing something about it.
The first week of 12 officially starts in January 2009, but the doors to the course site open tomorrow to get a head start on things. I’m looking forward to it and I will post regular updates on how things are going and my progress through the material.

p.s. I have to give a shout out to Loozianajay. I must give an honorable mention to his website, The Partisan Report. Even though it didn’t make my 5 favorite Personal Development blogs (I felt politics was a little outside the realm of Personal Development), it is an EXCELLENT website. Jay is very knowledgeable and has very strong opinions about the state of conservative politics in our country. It’s in my Google reader and I recommend it for yours.
Update**Jan 2009** Jay has currently moved his writing efforts to The Western Experience.
An AMAZING free resource with MASSIVE VALUE
Eben Pagan aka David DeAngelo is giving away some EXTREMELY high quality videos at his new blog in promotion of his information publishing/marketing mentoring program. I have learned so much just from these videos that has helped me in my quest for knowledge in this business. If you are interested go watch them all at:
He has started taking applications for the program and I believe that its running through the end of this week. The year-long program is a bit pricey for anybody at roughly $10k for the platinum and $5k for the gold but this guy really has the goods and if I could afford I would take the program in a heartbeat. It’s definitely a program I want to be involved with in the future as I learn more and gain success in this business. Check it out. Even if you don’t use it for a business, the value you can gain from these videos is fantastic.
